Joint Serious game workshop planned with the DryRivers project

In the course of its research, ZuWaKo – Module A (conflicting objectives in the catchment area) came across the DryRivers project, which turned out to be a good cooperation partner due to its similar focus: As part of ZuWaKo, water conflicts are explored with the help of a serious game that is played together in the workshop. The focus here is on the complexity of conflicts, i.e. the interactions between environmental factors and actor strategies. In this context, Module A examines the areas of conflict in the Eifel-Rur region. In DryRivers, a total of three rivers (Selke, Elbe, Rur) are examined, low water risks are determined on the basis of models and holistic (economic, ecological, hydrological, social…) measures to reduce the low water risk are developed. The focus of the workshop is on the development of future low water risk management.

A joint multi-stakeholder workshop (of both projects) is currently planned for next yearr, during whicht the ZuWaKo simulation game will be played together.
