CIB Café #15 with Markus Bresinsky on Russia 2030+ and the use of CIB in academic teaching

On July 10, 2025, we welcomed Prof. Markus Bresinsky at the CIB Café. He is a political scientist and economist with extensive experience as a policy analyst and consultant and holds a chair in International Politics and Social Sciences.

At the 15th Café event, Markus Bresinsky reported on the scenarios for Russia’s development after 2030, which had been developed together with students (https://opus4.kobv.de/opus4-oth-regensburg/frontdoor/index/index/docId/7839 ). Exciting discussions developed about whether and how these scenarios could be recreated with CIB.

Markus Bresinsky also gave insights into his experiences with CIB in academic teaching. He emphasized the benefits of the approach for systemic thinking and raised the question of how far AI, especially LLMs, could reach their limits when creating complex scenarios.
